Scary yet predictable
No its not a film review post, but a case called Williams & Georgiou v Wayne Hardy (unreported) in which Senior Master Hurst (who presides over the SCCO – Senior Courts Costs Officer for those readers of my weekly film blog) assessed the costs of assessment at £0 as the winning party had failed to file a Statement of Costs in accordance with CPR 44 PD 9.5(4)(b).
This is not the end, the SCCO has been warning to do this for the past 6 months and now they have. This is merely the beginning. Sanctions sanctions and sanctions.
