In conjunction with our colleagues at Hampshire Trust Private Bankers, we launched our innovative Costs Advance programme in the summer of 2007. The scheme received an enthusiastic response from the legal profession that quickly converted into a high level of take up.
This scheme enables solicitors to receive 70% of our assessed disbursements and profit costs within 48 hours of a Bill of Costs being approved, with competitive charges deferred until the case is settled. The monies are advanced direct, and electronically transferred to office account.
We feel that by offering this product we can provide our clients with the ability to kick-start their cash flow. In addition to providing the initial introduction, Just Costs will also administer the scheme on behalf of their clients, collecting monies and completing other associated tasks that solicitors would usually have to do, with the associated overheads.
Benefits of the scheme include:
70% of billed profit costs and paid disbursements are advanced within days of our preliminary assessment of costs.
The scheme can be used at any stage in the costing process
No compulsory insurance tie-ins
Repayment deferred until costs are received
Payment by BACS direct into office account
Competitive charges also deferred until costs received
Operated by a secure internet interface developed by Hampshire Trust
Available for all forms of legal work, not just personal injury matters
Just Costs administer the scheme on your behalf, from initial introductions to repayment of the loan once costs have been received.
The scheme promotes a strong positive cash flow and negates the pressure to compromise, improving your position in negotiations.
